Process and Development
UNDERSTANDING BRAND
A project brief was completed to confirm client and artist agreement on the illustration project. In this project brief. This entailed completing thorough research about the relevant anatomy, as well as the brand identity and message, This brand is different from other medications because it helps reduce the formation of clots in the blood by keeping platelets from sticking together. This helps keep the blood flowing, protecting patients from future stroke or heart attack. Keeping the blood flowing is central to the brand. Thus, I focused my illustrations on conveying a sense of flow and movement.
PROGRESS SKETCHES
Initial line sketches and value study were done for client feedback. Once agreed upon by the client, I proceeded to populate the illustration with flat color and minimal rendering in some places. For the artery, I used ZBrush to create a rough model, ensuring a convincing perspective.
